Services Offered:

Machine rentals with operator, hourly-based rate
All equipment, as seen above on this page, available for use on your jobsite, with our experienced operator to run it for you.  What can we do for you?
Depending on what machinery you order,  we may be able to do:

  • Grading (order a bobcat, suggestion: maybe one with tracks, and a dozer blade)
  • Site cleanup (and many other similar miscellaneous machine tasks, a bobcat)
  • Landscaping (wide range of tasks, some using a bobcat, others a mini-excavator
Auger post holes (generally using a bobcat, bit sizes from 6" through 36")
Interlocking/Paving (use bobcat to excavate dirt and put in gravel base)
Resodding (bobcat to strip old sod, or soil conditioner to till it in, spread new topsoil)
Retaining walls, walkways (bobcat or mini-ex to excavate & install new base)

Additions (w full basements: use compact-ex and bobcat to load dirt into trucks/bins)

Waterproofing (choose a mini-ex the right size for the job, not too big)
  • Trenching (mini-excavator)
Deep Services (like water/sewer hook-up - use a large compact/midi-excavator)

  • Many other services: always adding new attachments, so check back regularly...

Post Holes (we do not supply or do the concrete work or set the posts - you do, we drill only)
  • Explanation about post holes (Regular rate) - Most all the services we offer are based on a machine and operator by-the-hour billing basis, and for most tasks on the majority of sites this is a good, practical, cost-effective way of getting it done.  One exception might be when you need to have a small number of post holes augered.  Comparing the options - digging by hand, renting one of those nasty two-man gas-powered augers (dangerous, often ineffective), etc. - having us come out to you even at our normal rate is still not a bad idea, a good deal.  Especially is this so if you have other machine work on site that can be done at the same time with the same machine - then you'll find that you're getting great value for your money.  But, realistically, if you only have 3 or 6 or 8 holes to drill, which may only take half an hour to an hour to do, and the cost being around $500 (4 hour minimum, plus float fee and auger attachment rental), you may want to consider a cheaper option (which we propose next for you, read on...).  By the way, those charges are all necessary (4 hr minimum, float and rental fees) as the cost of business in our industry is high, having to make a special trip out to you, tying up $100,000-worth of truck and equipment, and taking chunk of our schedule, etc.  If you fit into any one of these 4 categories, stick with this hourly-based option: 1) you have 15-20 or more post holes to do, 2) you need holes 15" or greater in diameter, or any sized holes deeper than 4 feet, 3) you have other machine work to be done at that same time, or 4) you aren't flexible in terms of scheduling but need it done right away or at a specific day and time of your choosing.  Otherwise, if none of those apply, and you'd like to save a bit of money, consider the next option:
  • Special low rate for fence and deck post holes: $5 per hole! - We have a special pricing arrangement for augering fence and deck post holes, if the quantity is small, and if you can be patient and flexible as to when it gets done.  Here's the price:  We charge you a flat $200 set-up fee (that includes delivery, attachment rentals, etc.) and $5 per hole that is drilled.  So, that means for 5 post holes you'll be charged only $225 (plus tax), which is less than half of our normal rate (and probably cheaper than renting a gas man-operated tool).  The only "catch" is that we must do it when we are in the same general area servicing someone else, in order to be cost effective and pass the savings on to you.  Now, rest assured, that in the busy season (April-Dec), and if you are well within our normal home territory (ie zones A or B), you will probably be able to be done within just a day or two, at worst a few days.  Sometimes maybe even same day.  But the point is that we cannot make a special trip for you and offer you this special price.  When determine when we can fit you in, we will call ahead (usually the day before) and check make sure that the timing works for you too.  And if not, we'll skip you that time and look for the next workable opportunity.  That's the only real significant condition to this special program offer.  The other points to bear in mind are that we will not spend unlimited time on drilling a given hole for you.  We will spend up to 5 minutes per hole - which is ordinarily plenty of time for a 9" hole X 4' deep.  If we run into difficulties on a given hole (rock, hard clay, roots, etc.), you'll have the option of having us stop where we got to (even if short by a foot or so), try to drill it in another place, or spend more time on that hole, which we'll have to charge for (at our regular rate, but remember that even 15 extra minutes will only cost you around $20).  Other points: this rate applies only to residential sites, is only available for bit sizes 6, 9 or 12 inches diameter, and only to depths of 3 to 4 feet.  And no other machine work will be done (with bucket or other attachments) on that visit.  While we don't specifically cap the number of holes to a definite number, this special rate is really meant for holes fewer than 20; frankly more than that and you might be better off just going on our regular hourly rate.

*Further regarding float fees (top):
Zones A & B are this branch's home territory.
Zones C & D are considered overlap areas.  These are actually within the home territory of other neighbouring branches, but commonly when one branch is overbooked or does not have a particular piece of equipment in stock or available for a given customer, a closely neighbouring branch will assist if able (this is one of the main benefits that Bobcat On Demand has to offer)
Zone E is really outside of the normal operating territory of the branch, and that is why you need to call in to get a specific quote for the float charge to your jobsite when beyond the D zone.
Daily Travel Fee:  Pertains to all zones outside the branch's home territory: Zones C, D and E: In the event that a jobsite is in this area and the assignment goes beyond the first day (which had a float fee charged, when the machinery was brought in), a daily travel fee will apply to day 2 and any subsequent days to cover the cost of servicing this distant jobsite.  The travel fee is half of the float charge, and applies each day.

All customers are COD (this applies to all - homeowners, contractors, businesses, etc.)
Bill to be paid directly to the operator (COD) on site before equipment can be removed.
All customers are COD, with one exception:
Account Customers
We make provision for large builders/general contractors who cannot practically be able to pay COD on site; we do this by opening a credit account for them.  This account is expressly for the purpose of facilitating ease of payment for the customer.  It is not meant to assist in helping with cash flow or financing a project.  We strictly require payment within 30 days of invoice date (same as date of service).
The opening of accounts is handled by the franchisor on behalf of all franchise-branches.  So once your account is set up, you can use it regardless of which branch is actually serving you.  (Individual branches are not obligated, however, to opt in to accept account customers; this is an internal issue for us and will not affect you - we'll assign you to a branch that does.)
We'd be happy to open an account for you if you fit the above criteria.  Please be advised that it takes about 1 week for approval process.  Please request a credit application here.

To Contact this branch:

Customers: Please direct all calls to dispatch for inquiries about this branch - scheduling and availability, equipment, etc.  If you have a direct number to a particular branch or operator, please avoid using it as the operators are busy running noisy machines and will not be able to hear your call or talk.  This is why dispatch exists - to provide you instant, effective customer service 24/7.  Call 905-622-8800

Suppliers: If you are a current supplier of equipment, parts, etc. to this branch, please contact the branch directly via the contact information they provided to you; calling dispatch (ie 416-688-8801) will NOT work; dispatch only handles customer calls.  If you do not have direct contact info at this time (a direct branch contact name/number), please send a message to this branch by email.

Salespeople:  If you have a product or service that you think will interest this particular branch, feel free to send us an email about it.  Please DO NOT call dispatch as they are far too busy with customer calls to be fielding sales calls, and they will not take messages for you.  If you have a product or service to offer that may be of interest to the franchisor (ie advertising or promotional opportunities) or a product that may be of interest to all our branches, please email the franchisor for us to distribute to the branches on your behalf.

Accounting:  For accounts payable or receivable, or matters concerning a request for WSIB certificates, questions about an invoice or similar matters, please send them an email, and they will get back to you.  Each branch handles its own accounting needs, so contacting the franchisor or dispatch will not work - please contact the branch directly by email.
