Services Offered:
Machine rentals with operator, hourly-based rate
Offered by: ALL BRANCHES
All equipment which we stock at our various branches is available for use on your jobsite, with our experienced operator to run it for you. What can we do for you?
Depending on what machinery you order, we'll be able to do:
- Backfilling (for this, order a bobcat, not to big to get safely around the excavation)
- Grading (order a bobcat, suggestion: maybe one with tracks, and a dozer blade)
- Site cleanup (and many other similar miscellaneous machine tasks, a bobcat)
- Landscaping (wide range of tasks, some using a bobcat, others a mini-excavator

Auger post holes (generally using a bobcat, bit sizes from 6" through 36")

Interlocking/Paving (use bobcat to excavate dirt and put in gravel base)

Resodding (bobcat to strip old sod, or soil conditioner to till it in, spread new topsoil)

Retaining walls, walkways (bobcat or mini-ex to excavate & install new base)

Auger post holes (generally using a bobcat, bit sizes from 6" through 36")

Armourstone Rockeries & Walls (inquire about our specialized equipment)
- Excavations (normally done with an excavator, often in combo with a bobcat)

Footings (garages, additions, small buildings, use mini-excavator)

Additions (w full basements: use compact-ex and bobcat to load dirt into trucks/bins)

Pools (use compact or mini-ex and bobcat to load trucks with fill for haulage away)

Waterproofing (choose a mini-ex the right size for the job, not too big)
- Trenching (mini-excavator)

Deep Services (like water/sewer hook-up - use a large compact/midi-excavator)

Shallow Services (eg electrical lines, use mini-ex or bobcat with trencher)
- Demolition (bobcat and/or mini-excavator and attachments)

Concrete (machine with concrete breaker)

Tear down (use grapple bucket, clamp or thumb on machine, for tearing, loading)

Flat tires? (due to bad site conditions, consider solid tires, or a tracked machine/tracks)
- Construction services (various special attachments proving for unique services)

Concrete pours (tough to get to - use our concrete delivery bucket on a bobcat)

Load/move materials (use of pallet forks, or grapple on bobcat)
- Property Maintenance (various special attachments proving for unique services)

Parking lot sweeping (street sweeper attmt. on a bobcat, pick up and dump dirt)

Weed control (brush mower attachment cuts down everything - even trees to 3" dia!)

Snow removal (bank back snow piles or load dump trucks, with bobcat)
- Many other services: always adding new attachments, so check back regularly...
Post Holes
Note: We do the hard part - we auger (drill) your post holes, however we do not get involved with the supply or installation of the concrete nor set the posts; that's left for you (but that's the easy part)
Offered by: ALL PARTICIPATING BRANCHES
- Regular, hourly-based rate - Most all the services we offer are based on a machine and operator by-the-hour billing basis, and for most tasks on the majority of sites this is a good, practical, cost-effective way of getting it done. However, if you have fewer than 15 post holes to drill, you might want to consider our special $5 pricing for post holes.
- Special low rate for fence and deck post holes: $5 per hole! - We have a special pricing arrangement for augering fence and deck post holes, if the quantity is small, and if you can be patient and flexible as to when it gets done. Here's the price: We charge you a flat $200 set-up fee (that includes delivery, attachment rentals, etc.) and $5 per hole that is drilled. So, that means for 5 post holes you'll be charged only $225 (plus tax), which is less than half of our normal rate (and probably cheaper than renting a gas man-operated tool). The only "catch" is that we must do it when we are in the same general area servicing someone else, in order to be cost effective and pass the savings on to you. Click on any branch to get more details on this service.
Haulage (dirt/fill, concrete/asphalt, debris/junk removal)
- Bins / Tandem-axle dump trucks - The most cost-effective way to remove soil, fill, concrete, or other wastes from your site is by having a bin dropped off, or if you have a large volume of material (such as 10+ bins' worth), order in a dump truck or two. Most of our branches do not own bins or large dump trucks, so check the yellow pages yourself under "haulage", "waste" or "rubbish removal", or search on-line for "bins". And it is cheapest for you to ordering them directly yourself - avoid the middle-man costs.
- Small-single-axle dump trucks, dump trailers - Some branches (eg. the East York branch and others) have some small-volume haulage options for you. Such as single axle "1-ton" dually-rear-wheel dump trucks and hydraulic dump trailers, which each hold approximately 4 to 6 cubic yards or slightly more depending on the material / weight. Very handy for small load(s), or if you are moving the material to another location on site or very nearby, or if you have space limitations and can't practically have a bin brought in or dropped, or if full size dump trucks won't fit (eg back alleyways).
